Valencia is a city where it’s very easy to get around by bike. More than just a means of transport, it’s a way to experience the city itself and is part of the daily lives of many residents.

Valencia has launched ‘Valenbisi’, its public bike-sharing scheme, with stations spread throughout the city. It’s very easy to use. Download the ‘Valenbisi’ app and sign up. From there, you can buy a temporary pass (for a few days) or choose a longer subscription if you’re going to need it for a while.

MetroValencia operates on a zone-based system, although the most common areas are in zones A and B. The airport operates separately and requires a ticket covering several zones.

If you’re staying in the centre of Valencia or in neighbourhoods such as Ruzafa, Benimaclet or Campanar, Zone A is the most suitable, as it has the lowest fare.
The tram provides excellent connections to the university areas, the Port, Malvarrosa, La Marina Real, Cabanyal and even the Yacht Club… normally, Zone A is all you need.
